Return & Refund Policy

At Clearsight Scopes, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we offer a return policy based on the conditions set forth by our vendor partners. Please review the following guidelines for returns, refunds, and exchanges.

General Return Guidelines:

  • Return Period: Return requests must be made within 30 days of receiving your item.
  • Exceptions:There are specific vendor return windows that are outlined below:
    • Lucid Optics: 20 calendar days from receipt of the item.
    • ATN: 10 calendar days from receipt.
    • Alpen: 30 calendar days from receipt.
    • Athlon: Lifetime warranty for most products (restrictions apply).
  • Condition of Returned Items: All items must be returned in new, unused condition and in their original packaging, including all accessories and documentation. Items that are damaged, used, or missing parts may not be accepted, or may incur restocking fees.
  • Restocking Fees: Some vendors, such as Alpen, may charge a restocking fee of up to 20% if the product is not returned in "new" condition.
  • Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for return shipping, including any applicable shipping insurance. Return shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to a mistake on our part (e.g., incorrect or damaged item). If a refund is issued, return shipping will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Return Authorization: Some vendors, including ATN, require a Return Authorization Number (RAN) before returning an item. Please contact our customer support team to obtain a RAN and ensure the item is properly processed for return.

Refund Process:

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take several business days for the refund to appear in your account.
  • ATN processes refunds within 14-21 business days, while Lucid Optics typically processes refunds within 5 business days of receipt.

Exchanges:

  • Damaged or Defective Items: If your item is damaged or defective, please contact us immediately. We will either offer a replacement or a refund, depending on availability and your preference.
  • Exchanges for Size/Color: If you need to exchange an item for a different size or color, please follow the return process and place a new order for the replacement item.

Vendor-Specific Policies:

  • ATN: Customers must obtain a return authorization number from ATN for all returns. Returns must be made within 10 days of receipt, and the product must be in its original condition with all included accessories.
  • Alpen: Returns must be made within 30 days of receipt. Products must be unused and in their original packaging. A 20% restocking fee may apply for returned items that are not in new condition.
  • Athlon: Athlon Optics offers a Lifetime Warranty on most products, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Products that are damaged due to misuse or alteration will not be covered. Thermal Optics require registration for warranty claims.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Some items, such as special orders, closeouts, or products sold "as is" may not be eligible for return. Please refer to the specific product page for details.
  • Sale items are typically non-refundable, and refunds will only be granted for regular-priced products.

How to Return Your Item:

  1. Contact our customer support team at sales@clearsightscopes.com to initiate a return and obtain a return authorization number (if necessary).
  2. Repack your item securely in the original packaging with all included accessories and documentation.
  3. Ship the item to the address provided by our customer support team. If the item is over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance to ensure the return is received.
